The Nobility Classic tour takes you through all of the most important places on the island.
Our mini van picks you up from your hotel or wherever you want.
The first destination is Oia. Oia is a traditional settlement located at the northern end of the island, at a distance of 11 kilometres northwest of Fira and an altitude of about 120 metres. Oia was one of the five castle-towns of Santorini during the Frankish occupation, the famous “Kastelia”, called the Kasteli of St. Nicholas. It is considered one of the most picturesque parts of Greece, with a strong sense of tradition, the well-known captain houses and famous the world over for its stunning sunset.
Leaving Oia behind, moving on to Firostefani, which is an old settlement north of Fira, the capital of Santorini, nowadays a district of Fira. Its name means "the wreath of Fira" and that’s because it stands at a higher altitude than Fira. It features traditional houses with narrow alleys and views of the volcano. At Firostefani you come across the trade-mark blue dome churches, ideal for photos of a lifetime.
Carrying on with the trip, our van travels to Profitis Ilias, a mountain with a max. altitude of 567 metres. At the top of the mountain lies the Monastery of Prophet Elias, with its amazing view being an important attraction for visitors. From this high up, your gaze can pan seamlessly not only out to the whole of Santorini, but also to nearly every island in the Cyclades.
Megalohori is up next, at about 6 km from Fira. A picturesque traditional village with neo-classical, arched houses or cave-houses, tight back alleys and white churches. The Megalohori plain is well-known for its vineyards. Harvest is the best time. The roofs of the houses are covered with grapes, left to dry in the sun and produce the sweet wine of Santorini.
To swim, opt for the southern beaches, such as Vlychada featuring a marina that hosts tourist and fishing boats. Megalohori is a good place to stay because it is not far from Fira and close to both beautiful beaches and Akrotiri.
The last stop is at the Red and Black Beach..
Red Beach lies behind a series of lava monoliths. A beach of rare beauty you should definitely visit. Its distinctive morphological features makes Red Beach one of the most seductive beaches in the world. Its main features are the red and black mountains that tower above it, dark blue crystal clear waters, red sand alternating with black pebbles. You can enjoy fresh fish in traditional taverns our guide will eagerly point out.
Black Beach is very popular, with its dark thick lava sand standing out. The beach is fully organised with beach bars, water sports activities as well as small taverns right by the sea.
